1 · Find the Hub2 · Fill the Form3 · Write Your Content
1Go to the Tutorials hub
From the Main Page, click Browse Tutorials or go directly to Tutorials. You'll see the tutorial hub, organised into collapsible sections by topic.
2Click the orange "+ Submit" button
At the top of the Tutorials page, click the orange + Submit button in the toolbar. This opens the tutorial submission form.
Step 1 of 3Next: Fill the Form →
1Enter a tutorial name
Give your tutorial a clear, descriptive name that tells the reader exactly what they'll learn. Good examples: How to Record Field Audio on a Budget, Getting Started with Godot 4, Knitting Your First Beanie.
💡 Tutorial names become page URLs. Clear names help people find your tutorial via search.
2Select a topic and difficulty
Tick one or more Topics that match your tutorial's subject area. These determine which section of the Tutorials hub your tutorial appears under. Set the Difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Be honest — this helps readers find content at the right level for them.
3Add description, tags, and cover image
Write a short Description (1–2 sentences) that appears on the tutorial card when someone hovers over it. Add space-separated Tags like beginner audio recording budget. For a Cover Image, upload one via Special:Upload first, then paste the filename here (e.g. MyCoverImage.png). See the image upload steps if you need help.
← BackStep 2 of 3Next: Write Your Content →
1Click "Submit Tutorial" to create your page
Click the Submit Tutorial button at the bottom of the form. Your tutorial page is created automatically at Tutorials/YourTutorialName and will appear on the Tutorials hub under the correct topic section.
2Edit the page to add your full content
After submitting, click the Edit button on your new tutorial page and start writing. Structure your tutorial with clear headings using == Section Title ==. Use the same GuideStep template used on this very page to create numbered, visual steps with inline screenshots — it makes tutorials much easier to follow.
💡 You can see how GuideStep is used by clicking "Edit" on this page and looking at the wikitext.
3Add screenshots to your steps
For each step where a screenshot helps, upload the image via Special:Upload and reference it in the image= parameter of the GuideStep template. The screenshot will appear inline below your step's text, contained in a consistent styled frame.
